Our PLACE Adult Day Center

"Creating Moments of Joy..."

Our PLACE Mission

Our Mission is to improve quality of life by providing a day program of care, social interaction, and therapeutic activities in a safe and nurturing environment to senior adults living with Alzheimer's or other dementia-related diseases. Our PLACE works to support caregivers and care partners through respite, support, education, and resources.

Our PLACE Update

With Spring approaching, we look forward to new opportunities, new growth, and we celebrate it. We truly have been so blessed to have such amazing supporters who believe in our mission and want to get behind it. I’m excited to see what this new chapter brings and where it takes us, the sky's the limit!! We are well on our way to being the best individual non-profit Adult Day Center in Eastern Tennessee.

Our Phase I expansion is well under way and we are hopeful for its completion some time in mid May. This affords us the opportunity to service more with Alzheimer’s/ dementia and we are so grateful!! However, we cannot do this alone. We have started our Capital Campaign to kickoff our fundraising efforts for Phase II to fund our second activity area. This will provide a second space to better serve our people. We are targeting FY28 for completion of this phase.

Our PLACE Phase II Capital Campaign

Your support is greatly appreciated by the families of those affected...

We would like to extend our heartfelt thank you to the many donors who have assisted us to date, and also to the Loudon County Commission for their support. Space constraints have become our main issue due to how participants are progressing through the disease, mobility issues, and resulting activity setup constraints. Based on the challenges in fundraising we divided this campaign into two phases. We can partially address these issues during Phase I, but will need a longer period of time (Phase II) to raise the funding required to help assist more participants. The attainment of  our Phase I goal is allowing us to partially address mobility concerns, expands our current activity area into the back porch, construct a new porch, and expand our outdoor activity area. Attaining Phase II goals addresses mobility & setup issues, plus creates the second activity area which is crucial to our addressing disease progression.

In the last two years of operation we have created many moments of joy for our caregivers and participants. We hope that you will consider helping us assist more of the estimated 7400 individuals impacted by the various forms of dementia in Loudon and Monroe Counties. Our Place continues to provide  assistance to countless families, caregivers and others through our Outreach and inhouse programing. You can help us create more Moments of Joy by participating in our Capital Campaign for the Expansion of Our PLACE!! Learn more about this program.
