Our Place is a non-sectarian, licensed, adult day center located at the intersection of routes 72 and 444 in Loudon, TN.  Our Place is a 501 (c) (3) and is in the process of seeking licensure from the state of Tennessee.


Its mission and purpose is to operate a social model* of adult day care for seniors with mild to moderate Alzheimer’s/dementia that will provide socialization, enrichment, and structure allowing free time/respite for their care partners.  Our Place will do this by providing a program of activities that include music, gentle exercise, crafts, games, discussions about movies or current events, nutritious snacks, and more.  Wherever possible, activities will be theme-based, highlighting the seasons, holidays, birthdays, and other special events. 


The Our Place mission is to provide a Program of Activities for Seniors with Alzheimer’s/Dementia that Will Enrich their Lives and allow free time for their Care Partners.

Activities Assistant

We are seeking multiple Activities Assistants for Our PLACE, a new non-profit Adult Day Center located in Loudon, TN at the intersection of routes 72 and 444.  Our PLACE will provide socialization and structured activities (such as music and pet therapy, exercise, crafts, and games) to seniors with Alzheimer’s / dementia and provide respite to their care partners.  As such, we are looking for people with a passion for service and a client-first mentality to seniors requiring mild mental and physical stimulation, and an ability to provide supportive assistance in implementing a program of creative enrichment activities.


Duties will vary according to program needs and as designated by the Program Manager; however, specific responsibilities will include meeting clients/families on arrival, leading or assisting with discussion groups, daily orientation, craft or exercise activities, helping with snack preparation, room and activity preparation and cleanup.


These are part-time, hourly positions requiring between 25 and 30 hours per week.  There is some flexibility regarding what hours (within an 8:00 – 5:00 day) on a Monday - Friday basis may be requested.

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED and must be able to read and write English.  A minimum of two years of experience working with older adults or people with disabilities is preferred.  Exhibit patience, enthusiasm, flexibility, and mature judgment.  To be employed, the state requires the successful completion of a criminal background check.
