Capital Campaign Giving Opportunities

Capital Campaign for Our PLACE Expansion

We have now been serving our community for fifteen months. During these months, Our Place has provided help for 38 families, and over 185 more through our Caregiver Workshops and countless others through our Outreach Programs. Our Place has provided ‘Moments of Joy’ to many families.

We have learned a lot in dealing with the various aspects of Dementia.  Space constraints have become our main issue due to how participants are progressing through the disease, mobility issues, and resulting activity setup constraints. We are also reaching capacity for attendance. The need for a second activity area has become imperative to continued quality service to our community and the financial stability of this service. The need is great as the American Alzheimer’s Association estimates that there are over 4700 individuals impacted by Alzheimer's/Dementia in Loudon and Monroe County alone.

We have engaged Main Street Architecture who has developed buildable blueprints that will allow us to expand our facility by an additional 1000 sqft. Main Street has assisted us in developing a preliminary estimate that will require an estimated $600K in additional funding to complete this expansion. In doing so we will be able to double our capacity and operationally break even in FY2025. As a result Our PLACE will be less reliant on fundraising with the exception of scholarships, programming, and unforeseen building needs.

Any assistance you can provide to help us continue to provide ‘Moments of Joy' for those families suffering from this terrible disease will be greatly appreciated. Please look through the following components of our Capital Campaign and choose one that aligns with you and your family.
