Our PLACE MISSION
Our Mission is to improve quality of life by providing a day program of care, social interaction, and therapeutic activities in a safe and nurturing environment to senior adults living with Alzheimer's or other dementia-related diseases. Our PLACE works to support caregivers and care partners through respite, support, education, and resources.
Our PLACE Update
Welcome Spring, and welcome the season of new beginnings and purposeful growth! This time last year, we celebrated a wonderful beginning as we opened the doors to our beautiful, new building. One year later, we are reaching capacity in our space and poised to expand our building, so that we can continue to meet the diverse needs of our participants, while serving more families in the community. We are so excited about this purposeful direction, and we hope you will come grow with us! For more information on how you can support our expansion efforts, please visit our "Give to Our Place" page.
If you have any questions about how Our PLACE can help your family through our services and support, please contact our Executive Director, Celia Gruzalski, at

Mary Ann Rupert Ride to Remember
On June 25th, Dr. Charlie Barnard, pastor of Wildwood Baptist Church, and his wife, Teresa, will begin a 9,000-mile motorcycle journey up the Alaskan Highway. This ride is part of a large community effort to enrich the lives of over 3500 seniors in our area who are experiencing difficulties with maintaining sustainment functions or suffering from the effects of Dementia-related diseases.
To learn more about the Mary Ann Ruppert Ride to Remember, click here to download an informative PDF file that provides all the details of the ride, the Departure Lunch, and the Return Dinner. We hope you will join us in bringing this needed effort for those less fortunate seniors living in our area by contributing to the “Ride to Remember,” and attending one or both of the lunch/dinner events.
Knoxville's WATE TV caught up with Charlie and Theresa – click here to watch their interview about the Mary Ann Rupert Ride to Remember.
