Providing our participants with engaging activities each day is one of the most important things we do. Our participants love the many activities planned each day by Sarah Martin, our Executive Director and (Acting) Activities Manager, and it shows in their smiles. The Top Things at Our PLACE This Week – from Sarah

The Top Things This Week:

This week, we had the joy of celebrating one of our very special ladies, who will be turning 92 years young in just a few days. Birthdays are always a special occasion here, and we love making each of our participants feel celebrated, loved, and appreciated on their special day.
We are incredibly thankful for our volunteers, who bring so much joy and energy to our days. This week, everyone enjoyed getting up to dance together, sharing lots of smiles, laughter, and movement. Moments like these remind us that music and dancing have a special way of bringing people together and creating lasting memories.
Creativity was in full bloom during this week's craft session with Teri. Our participants designed patriotic shadow boxes, each adding their own unique style and special touches with a variety of festive trinkets. Every project was one-of-a-kind, allowing everyone to express their creativity.
We are truly blessed to have retired music therapist Judy spend time with us. Her gift for engaging our participants through music creates an atmosphere filed with joy, connection, and purpose. From singing favorite songs to playing a variety of instruments, Judy encourages everyone to participate in ways that are meaningful and enjoyable. We are so grateful for her dedication and the wonderful experiences she brings to Our PLACE each time she visits.
