We are seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) for Our PLACE, a non-profit Adult DayCenter located in Loudon, TN at the intersection of Routes 72 and 444. Our PLACE provides socialization and structured activities (such as music and pet therapy, exercise, crafts, and games) to seniors with Alzheimer’s/dementia and provides respite to their caregivers. We hire people with compassion, patience, and a proactive approach to supporting the unique needs of individuals with cognitive impairments, while upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
The CNA/Program Assistant is a vital member of our adult day center team, providing direct personal care and engaging support to participants. This role focuses on ensuring participant safety, dignity, and engagement by assisting with personal care needs such as toileting, safe transfers, and ambulation, as well as actively facilitating and participating in daily activities. The latter duties will vary according to program needs and as designated by the Activity Manager and will include meeting clients/families on arrival, leading or assisting with discussion groups, daily orientation, craft or exercise activities, helping with snack preparation, room and activity preparation and cleanup.
This is a full-time, hourly position working 9:00 – 4:30 Monday through Friday. Beginning pay is between $15 and $16 per hour, depending on experience, and comes with health benefits, 401(k), paid vacation and sick leave.
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, have a CNA certification, and must be able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.. A minimum of two years of experience working with older adults or people with disabilities is preferred. Candidates must exhibit patience, enthusiasm, flexibility, and mature judgement. To be employed at Our PLACE, the State of Tennessee requires the successful completion of a criminal background check.
